Smart like Mommy

The boys were, well, being boys, during our latest run to the grocery store, so I took them out to the car while Steph checked out....

Leyton: Its told (cold).
Me: Yes it is.  Get in the car.  (my patience is short as it is, let alone when it is "told")
Leyton: I keep my hands in my pockets.
Me: Yes.  You are very smart.
Leyton.  Yes.  Smart like mommy.

Trouble

Leyton was in trouble earlier this week while I was away in Miami Beach on business. Yes, you read that right. Miami Beach. In December. On Business. Surprising that I'm not the one in trouble.....

On to the story at hand. He was in timeout and when she let him out, the following conversation happened:

Steph: Leyton, do you have something to say?

Leyton: Yes.

Steph: Okay. What do you want to say?

Leyton: I don't know.

Steph: How about, "I'm"

Leyton: I'm

Steph: "Sorry"

Leyton: Sorry

Steph: "For"

Leyton: Five

Hysterical. Funnier I think when told vs read, but I had to put it up.

Oh, here is a picture from Miami. Hee hee.....

Captain Underpants

Last night I was getting the boys ready for their nightly bath.  Griffin is getting undressed and begins chattering excitedly.

Grif:  Dad!  I wore two pair of underwear today.
Me: Really?  (not really believing him).
Grif:  Yeah, that way if I have a accident, I can just take one off!

I didn't think much of it.  He took off his clothes and got in the tub and I didn't pay too much attention to it.  We did baths, jammies, brushed teeth, etc for our nightly bedtime routine.  Steph was collecting their clothes from the bathroom and brought me Griffin's pants with both pair of underwear bundled up in them.  Laughing her head off...  I wish I took a picture.

He was pretty groggy yesterday morning and I put his clothes out and left him to dress himself.  He must have just pulled the clean under-roos over the ones he slept in.  And then proceeded to wear them both all day!  To the sitters, at school, while we were carving pumpkins and didn't bother to tell anybody.
