Granville puts on one heck of a 4th of July party. The parade was Monday and we were advised to go Sunday evening and stake out a spot on the parade route. I was glad I did as many spots were already taken!
I think this was Griffin's first parade (definitely Leyton's first) and we had a ball.

| Griffin took this picture. He's a little shutterbug. |
 |
| Leyton is wasted from all the pre-Parade partying! |
 |
| But he's still patriotic! |
 |
| Grif was really excited about seeing the fire trucks. He still wants to be a Garbage man when he grows up though. |
 |
| There were several "class of 19XX" floats in the parade and the people next to us decided to unleash super soakers on one of the floats. The float riders responded with ill-aimed water bottle sloshing. I think Leyton got more water on him than anybody. He was not amused. |

| No 4th of July Parade is complete without Towmater. |
The parade lasted about an hour and a half. Afterwards, I asked Griffin what his favorite part was:
Grif:
That horse pooped on the road! It was so funny!
